Sometimes creativity comes when you’re not in the office, so Paper by Fiftythree is ideal for jotting down notes, sketches, or your next big idea. Best of all–its tools and unlimited, secure, cloud backup are all free with no in-app purchases. Compatible with iPad, this app didn’t win the Apple App of the Year for nothing.

An award winning app that is well deserved! TIME describes it best: “If the iPhone’s standard camera is like a digital point-and-shoot, the Camera+ app is like a high-quality SLR lens.” This is my go-to app whenever I need to adjust photos. It has the capability to adjust clarity, temperature, soft focus, tint and more.

   
 

 

4. ADOBE SHAPE

Imagine you’re on a coffee break and see an interesting pattern on the wall. You can snap a photo and quickly capture and literally convert that beautiful pattern into vector graphics that can be used in Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe Illustrator Draw or Adobe Photoshop CC when you go back in the office!

No designer needs an intro to Dribbble. Freeshot, a Dribbble client, allows you to stay up to date on your favorite designers and drool over their slickest designs. You’ll need to login to your dribbble account to download this must-have app.
